Our Leadership Council
Lisa is our Senior Druid, and has been a member of ADF since Samhain 2004; she is also the Grove’s Liturgist and Librarian, and is the Deputy Regional Druid for the Canada East Region. She has an Honours B.A. in Celtic Studies and Religion from the University of Toronto. She is devoted to the service of the Tuatha Dé Danann, has completed her Dedicant Path and is pursuing entry into the Clergy Training Program. She works at the public library, and is married to Nathan.
Nathan is our Pursewarden. He joined ADF and the Grove in November 2005. He walks a warrior’s path: moving tables, lifting heavy things, eating meat, and not talking much. At the Wellspring 2010 Warrior Games, he won the Grey Award for tenacity in battle. He likes fast cars and explosions, and enjoys eating a bowl of cereal in the morning. He is the sexiest man in the Grove. He married Lisa at Lughnasadh 2011.
Jennifer is our Scribe. She joined the Grove in February 2008, and joined ADF shortly thereafter. She is also a Shemsu of the Kemetic Orthodox faith, and is devoted to Djehuty (Thoth) and Hethert (Hathor). Jennifer is in the Medical Office Administration program at Durham College. She has a strong interest in genealogy.
Our Members
Chelly is our Webmaster. She has been a member of Dancing Lights Grove since September 2006 and joined ADF shortly thereafter. She completed her Dedicant’s Program in October 2010 and is currently working on the Initiate Program. She is heavily interested in fighting for human rights. She is influenced by Irish Celtic paganism.
Sarah joined ADF and Dancing Lights Grove in August of 2007. She has a Hon. B.A. in Celtic Studies from the University of Toronto and currently serves as the Grove’s Seer. In addition to her interest in Celtic history and culture, Sarah has keen interest in all things related to seership, healing, herbalism, and the practice of art and craft in the context of spirituality. She has been a long time dedicant to the healing gods Miach, Airmid, and Dian Cecht.
Rod is the founder of Dancing Lights Grove, ADF. He has been a member of ADF since September 1998. Rod is a graduate of the University of Windsor with a BA in History, and currently works as a senior network analyst for the Town of Whitby, Ontario, and freelance network and information security consultant. His interests include photography, computers & information security, electronics and ham radio… and of course, getting out into nature whenever he can.
Kim joined the Grove in December 2007. She has been involved with the local pagan community since 2001. She is presently the Local Coordinator for Durham Pagan Pride Day. Her spiritual practice follows the path of the Grove, and she involves herself with energy work, Reiki, prayer and meditation. Her other interests include reading, gardening, music and crafts. Kim works as a Business Analyst and is married with a young son.
Roland joined the Grove in January 2010. He feels a deep connection to nature and the multiple energies Paganism has to offer. He has a passion for playing the drums, metal music and bodybuilding. He has found Dancing Lights a loving and accepting Grove of people for whom he can express his gratitude for life.
Fran joined the Grove in June 2011.
Patrick joined the Grove in December 2011.
Matt joined the Grove in January 2012.
